Meeting  with  God’s  People
Psalm 122;  Heb.:10:1-25;  12:18-24

Psalms  120-134  are  the  Songs  of  Ascents  (see  Ex.23:17).  Count  von  Zinzendorf:  ‘no  Christianity  without  fellowship’.

1. The  joy  of  God’s  people.

– vv.1-2;  Robert  Louis  Stevenson:  ‘I  have  been  to  church  today  and  am  not  depressed.’

– Acts 2:41-42, 46-47

2. The  unity  of  God’s  people.

– vv.3-4;  Jeroboam  sought  to  rupture  it  in  1 Kings 12:26-29

3. Justice  for  God’s  people.

– v.5;  hence  Elijah  confronted  King  Ahab.

4.  Prayer  for  the  peace  and  welfare  of  God’s  people.

– vv.6-9;  hence  Neh.1:3-4;  2:10

– Jerusalem  did  not  know  her  peace  in  Luke 19:28, 41-42
