Death  on  Earth,  Life  in  Heaven
(Isa. 53:7-12)

– Ethiopian  eunuch  in  Acts 8:30-35

1. Christ’s  death  was  voluntary.

– 53:7;  Matt.26:62-63;  27:12-14;  1 Pet.2:23;  Phil.2:8;  Matt.26:53;  John 10:17-18

2. Christ’s  death  was  innocent.

– 53:9;  died  with  the  wicked  ones  but  buried  in  the  tomb  of  a  rich  one  (Matt.27:57-60)

– unlike  Isaiah  6:5,  see  John 8:46a

3.  Christ’s  death  was  substitutionary.

– for  my  people,  seed  or  offspring,  for  many,  for  transgressors

– Rom.8:3-4

4.  Christ’s  death  was  followed  by  triumph.

– 53:10-12;  Phil.2:8-9;  1 Pet.1:10-11

– Rev.5:9-10
