1. Faith acts on God’s Word.
– 32:6-8; Cousin Hanamel has what Derek Kidner calls an ‘untimely proposition’.
– Livy says that Hannibal was outraged when he found out that a Roman citizen had bought a property outside Rome.
32:9-14; this is the obedience of faith (Rom.1:5; 16:26); Jeremiah was illustrating his trust in the promise of Jer.32:15
2. Nothing is too hard for the Lord.

– this idea is found in four places (Gen.18:14; Jer.32:17, 27; Luke 1:37; Matt.19:26); God can raise the dead!
3. God will restore His people.
– 32:36-44; the new covenant (31:31) is an everlasting covenant (32:40)
