ENTERTAINING ANGELS
Genesis 18:1-15; Hebrews 13:1-16
Hebrews 13:2 is obviously referring to Genesis 18 where Abraham meets three men who turn out to be angels, but in the end, are probably the Lord and two angels (note Gen.18:22; 19:1)
1. We are obliged to entertain strangers.
-Hospitality is commanded in Matt.25:35, 40; Rom.12:13; 1 Pet.4:9
– note also 1 Tim.3:2 for the elder; if Rahab had not shown hospitality, she would have perished at Jericho (Josh.2)

2. Hospitality is not to be given in order to climb the social ladder.

3. God can bless a simple act of kindness in far-reaching ways.
