1 Samuel 16:1-13
58 references to David in the New Testament. David as an example of a man of faith, and as a type of Christ.

– Bethlehem is mentioned in Ruth 1:19 and Jesse in Ruth 4:17

– God makes surprising choices by His grace (1 Cor.1:27)
