GRACE  AND  AUTHORITY
2 Kings  4:8-37;  Matthew 10:1-15

–  no  ‘take  it  or  leave  it’  attitude

1.  The  apostles  are  to  travel  light.

– 10:8b-10;  see  Mark 6:8-9;  not  rules  for  all  time

– support  for  the  gospel  worker  (1 Cor.9:14;  1 Tim.5:17-18;  1 Kings 17:8-9;  2 Kings 4:8-10;  hence  3  John 5-8

– God  saw  that  they  were  looked  after  (Luke 22:35)

2.  They  are  to  greet  all  households.

3.  To  reject  the  apostles  is  to  incur  God’s  judgment.

– the  judgment  is  greater  where  there  is  greater  light  given  (Luke 12:47-48;  Matt.11:23-24;  12:41-42;  Heb.10:28-29)
