GOD’S JUDGMENT ACCORDING TO WORKS
(Romans 2:6-8)
– ‘Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’. Not so, God judges all things.
1. We will be judged by our works.
– 2:6; often neglected by evangelicals who wonder how it fits in with justification by faith

2. Eternal life is given to those who persist in doing good.
– 2:7; this is the evidence, not the ground, of salvation
– seeks glory, honour (John 5:44) and immortality (1 Peter 1:3-4); 1 John 3:2-3
3. Wrath is poured out on the self-seeking.
– 2:8; not annihilation but hell
