Put Off Falsehood, Put on Truth
(Ephesians 4:25)
– general in 4:17-24, and more specific from verse 25 onwards.
1. Motives for putting off lying and putting on truth.
– ‘therefore’ in verse 25 i.e. it is looking back to previous verses. This is only meant for Christians
– ‘members of one another’, not the one human family but the body of Christ. Titus 1:1-2; 1 Tim.3:15
2. Put off falsehood.
