ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM
(Ephesians 4:5)
– World Parliament of Religions in Melbourne in December 2009.
1. One Lord.
– 20 references to Jesus as Lord in Ephesians
– 1 Cor.8:6; Rom.10:9; Matt.17:1-8; Acts 4:12; Phil.2:9-11
2. One faith.
– not trust so much as a body of belief (e.g. Gal.1:23; Jude 3)
– 1 Cor.15:3-4; 16:22
– Martyn Lloyd-Jones was admitted to the church after being asked the name of the brook that Jesus and His disciples crossed in going from the Upper Room to the place of trial.
3. One baptism.
– water or Spirit baptism?
