(Revelation 22:17-21)
1. Christ is surely coming soon.
– 22:20; life is short and quick (Ps.103:15; James 4:14)
– Christ’s testimony is both true and complete (22:18-19; Deut.4:2; 12:32; Prov.30:5-6)
– Marcion and liberals take away; Mormons and Roman Catholics add
2. All are freely invited to come to Christ.
– 22:17; the Spirit says ‘Come’ (1 Thess.1:4-5); the bride says ‘Come’; those who hear say ‘Come’; Christ says ‘Come’ (Matt.11:28)
3. Come and believe.
– 22:17c; John 4:10-15; Thomas Chalmers: ‘I come to Him with my heart such as it is’.
– salvation is free in every way (Rom.3:24; Rev.22:17c, 21)
